Winter Tracing Worksheets With Words and Sentences For Kindergarten And 1st Grade

There is winter here where I leave and inspired by winter I created six printable winter tracing worksheets for kids. It started snowing in the evening 24th December, till the morning we had snow everywhere. The snow here where we leave is usually for a week in February, never in December. And with snow everywhere I got an idea, that I should prepare winter worksheets to trace. Just before Christmas, I shared on this website three blog posts with traceable pages for preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade and cursive tracing for older kids, all of them inspired by Christmas.

If you enjoy my work, please share it with others. By saving it to your board on Pinterest, you are giving me the opportunity to reach more people who, like you, are looking for free worksheets. There are many ways to support small businesses for free, and pinning the picture is one of them 🙂

When I started to create these winter-inspired worksheets I realized there might be a lot of topics to cover. And this way I ended up with 6 printable worksheets about winter. I used a block letter font. There are words and sentences to trace, so in my opinion, you can use them to practice handwriting with 1st graders and some kindergarteners. I created a different template for these worksheets, I hope you will like it.

Traceable sentences for kids Fun in the snow. Make snow angels. Go tubing and skate. Build an igloo. Write what you like to do in the snow.
Winter-inspired tracing words a list of warm winter clothes like a warm jacket, mittens or gloves, a hat and a scarf, and snow boots.

What you will find in these winter tracing worksheets?

  • There is one worksheet with a list of warm winter clothes like a warm jacket, mittens or gloves, a hat and a scarf,  and snow boots.
  • Fun in the snow. Make snow angels. Go tubing and skate. Build an igloo. Write what you like to do in the snow.
  • This will warm you up when you get cold. Hot Cocoa, Fireplace, Tea with lemon and honey.
  • These states get the most snowfall. Vermont, Maine, Colorado, New Hampshire, Alaska, Michigan, New York.
  • When it is winter in the United States, it is summer in Australia. December to February.

We had a beautiful winter wonderland in our neighborhood. In the Seattle area usually after one week snow melts by itself, nobody is removing it. This makes winter much more beautiful than what I had in Poland for almost a whole life. What was unexpected for me is that kids are using a street as a hill for sledding. Because of snow, there are almost no cars on the street, so kids can play even there.

In this week-long winter, we build a snowman – a daddy snowman with a beard. Kids were making snow angels, snowball fights and they try to build a fort.
I hope these winter worksheets will be fun for your child. Let me know if you like them.

I didn’t create separate links to each worksheet, instead, I added all of them to one folder. Download them all or pick with you prefer.
