Free Printable Alphabet Booklet for Preschool and Kindergarten – Trace, Color, Fold & Learn!

A Fun DIY Alphabet Booklet for Little Learners

Looking for a creative and engaging way to help your child learn the alphabet this summer? I came up with a fun idea that combines handwriting practice, letter recognition, coloring, and crafts all in one — and I’m so excited to share it with you!

Introducing my brand-new free printable alphabet booklet — a hands-on learning tool designed for preschool and kindergarten-aged kids. Each page features one letter of the alphabet with activities your child can enjoy: tracing uppercase and lowercase letters, coloring illustrations, and finding matching letters in a letter hunt.

And the best part? Once the activity is complete, kids can fold and cut the page into their very own mini alphabet book. It’s a fun summer project that helps reinforce early literacy and builds fine motor skills. Plus — it’s completely free to download!

What’s Included in the Download?

  • 26-page PDF (U.S. Letter size)
  • One page per letter: A to Z
  • Each page includes:
    • Uppercase and lowercase letter tracing (with black dots showing where to start!)
    • A picture to color (drawn by me – no AI images here!)
    • A letter recognition activity

Whether you’re homeschooling, preparing your child for preschool or kindergarten, or just looking for a fun screen-free summer activity, this booklet is a great fit.

How to Fold the Alphabet Booklet Page

Each page is designed to transform into a little booklet! Here’s how to do it:

  • Fold the printed page in half horizontally. Then fold it in half again vertically. Your page will now be a long, rectangular shape.
  • Fold this rectangle in half along the long side.
  • Unfold everything.
  • Fold the paper in half along the long side again, and cut along the center fold as shown in the image, making sure to cut only up to the fold line.
  • Unfold again, then refold lengthwise and gently push the cut section inward to form an accordion-style mini-book.

Don’t worry if this sounds complicated — I’ve included a video tutorial in the post to walk you through each step visually!
